Lake City Shooting Range operates as a public facility managed by the Missouri Department of Conservation. It's set up for serious shooters—whether you're zeroing rifles, practicing pistol drills, working on trap/skeet, or shooting archery.
Rifle Range - 20-point covered firing line - Targets at 25, 50, 75, and 100 yards - Target stands, rests, and benches provided - $5 per booth per hour (cash only)
Pistol Range - 10-point covered firing line - Targets at 7, 15, and 25 yards - Shooting seats and rests provided - $5 per booth per hour (cash only)
Trap & Skeet - $5 per round (24 birds, cash only) - Targets and throwers provided
Patterning Range - 10 to 40 yards - $5 per person per hour - For shotgun load testing
Archery - 12 shooting positions from 10 to 60 yards - Static range (not field-style) - Supports field tips, broadheads, and crossbows - $5 per person per hour
You must bring your own hearing and eye protection to all ranges.

The facility includes a classroom that seats 75 people, available for group training and meetings. Groups need three-week advance notice. Non-profit organizations pay no range fees for educational shooting.
On the north side of Landahl Park at Highway FF (old Truman Road). From I-70 in Blue Springs, take Highway 7 north 4 miles, then Route FF east 2 miles.
