Location details and information
Lake City Shooting Range and Outdoor Education Center, operated by the Missouri Department of Conservation on the north side of Landahl Park, spans 63.9 acres. The rifle range is a covered, twenty-point firing line with targets set at 25, 50, 75, and 100 yards; target stands, push pins, a shooting bench and seat, and rests are provided, though shooters must bring their own hearing and eye protection. The pistol range is a covered, ten-point firing line with targets at 7, 15, and 25 yards, equipped the same way.
The trap and skeet ranges run rounds of 24 birds each, with targets and throwers supplied. A separate patterning range covers 10 to 40 yards with target backers and targets provided. The archery range is a static range with 12 shooting positions from 10 to 60 yards, supporting field tip, broadhead, and crossbow use.
An indoor classroom seats 75 people and is available for group use by prior arrangement.
