The Montana Rifle and Pistol Association (MRPA) is the statewide sanctioning body for competitive rifle and pistol shooting in Montana. They coordinate hundreds of matches annually across multiple disciplines, serving shooters from beginner to elite levels.
MRPA sanctions matches in seven major disciplines:
MRPA publishes a comprehensive calendar running January through December. Monthly matches include:

Electronic target systems are used at most high power rifle matches, and wind conditions are monitored for fair competition at outdoor ranges.
