L.E.D. Training Solutions specializes in defensive firearms instruction, ranging from permit-qualifying courses to advanced tactical training. Classes are held at Cedar Creek Sporting Clays in Millville, led by certified NJ State Firearms Instructor David Petersen.

If you need to qualify for a concealed carry permit, L.E.D. offers NJ-specific instruction:

The NJ course includes classroom instruction on firearm safety, state laws, use of force, and interactions with law enforcement. Range work covers drawing from concealment, proper loading/unloading, and a 50-round qualification course at distances from 3 to 15 yards.

Beyond permit qualification, L.E.D. teaches tactical skills for serious shooters:

• •Defensive Pistol Part A — Movement, close-quarter combat, holster techniques (4-5 hours, $200-$225)
• •Defensive Pistol Part B — Cover usage, multi-target acquisition, unconventional shooting positions (4-5 hours)
• •AR-15 Carbine — Rifle-specific tactics including shooting positions, movement, and multi-target work (4-5 hours)
• •Low Light/Night Fire — Flashlight techniques and shooting in transitional lighting (4-5 hours)
• •Church Security Training — Classroom and live-fire instruction for armed security teams
• •Firearms Fundamentals — Private 2-hour lessons at $200

Courses require a reliable combat or concealed carry pistol (AR-15 courses add rifle requirements), quality holster and belt, factory ammunition, and hearing/eye protection. Specific round counts vary by course—typically 300-350 rounds for advanced pistol and rifle instruction.
