Rodney Jones started Manzano Gunsmithing after a career in law enforcement that included SWAT team work, firearms instruction, and department armorer duties. After retiring, he earned an Associate's Degree in Gunsmithing with Honors from Yavapai's program in Prescott, Arizona, and continues mentoring under veteran gunsmith Bob Warwick of C & R Gunsmithing.
Manzano handles the full spectrum of gunsmithing work:
Finishing & Metal Work - Cerakote ($100-150) - Re-bluing ($100-250) - Wood finishing ($100-250)
Barrel & Action Work - Threading for muzzle brake or suppressor ($80 each) - Cut and re-crown barrel ($50) - Re-barrel and chamber (hourly rate) - Head space checks ($30) - Removing obstructions or live rounds
Sight & Scope Work - Drill & tap ($20 per hole) - Cut dovetail ($50) - Bore sight ($20) - Scope mounting ($30) - Sight-in service ($30, excludes ammo/targets)
Handgun & Revolver Work - Action jobs ($60) - Barrel fitting and re-barrel ($50+) - Slide tightening ($50) - Revolver action jobs ($60)
