Full description and what we offer
Elbridge Rod and Gun Club operates three separate shooting areas to keep shooters separated and safe. The rifle range accommodates distances out to 100 yards. Behind the clubhouse sits a dedicated 25-yard pistol range. The lower grounds feature an archery range with a raised platform designed to simulate tree stand shooting—useful for hunters practicing realistic angles.
Operating Hours: - Monday-Saturday: 8:00 AM to sunset - Sunday: 9:00 AM to sunset
Trap shooting runs every Sunday from 9 AM to noon (weather permitting) on the lower range. The club uses a voice-activated trap system. Cost is $5 per 25 clay birds for adults; shooters under 16 or in high school shoot free. The range closes to other shooters during trap sessions. The program is open to the public—you don't need a membership to participate in trap.
Bring your own shot shells to trap sessions.
To use the rifle, pistol, or archery ranges, you must be a member. Non-members caught on the ranges will be charged with trespassing.
| Membership Type | Cost | Who It Covers |
|---|---|---|
| Individual | $60/year | Age 18+ |
| Family | $75/year | Primary member + spouse + children under 18 |
Each member receives a membership card and is required to wear it when on range and at meetings. One shooting guest per member is allowed once; they must become a member before returning.
Call ahead before visiting—the club doesn't maintain full-time staff. Weekend visits are your best bet.
The club holds monthly meetings and hosts an annual Christmas party. The December meeting covers officer elections (President, VPs, Secretary, Treasurer) and committee leadership for trap, building/grounds, archery, and target repair. All ranges close during meetings.
Ground targets are prohibited to prevent ricochets. When multiple shooters use the lower range, shooters must designate a Range Safety Officer who controls firing with red warning lights.
