Full description and what we offer
Sportsmen's Club of Clifton Park operates as a members-only facility—you can't just walk in. The club maintains a waiting list and fills openings annually. Once accepted, membership costs $150 per year (online renewal discounted to $130 with credit card), plus a one-time $200 initiation fee for new members. Annual dues are due by December 31st with zero tolerance for late payment.
The club accepts online payments and in-person renewals during November and December—cash and mailed checks are no longer accepted.
This isn't a "one-discipline" operation. SCoCP maintains dedicated facilities for trap, pistol, rifle, and archery:
Members shoot trap Tuesday evenings (5-8pm summer) and Sunday mornings (9am-noon winter). Cost: $3/round for members, $4 for guests. The fields support singles, doubles, and wobble trap simultaneously.
18-hour course split into two parts: 2-hour live fire qualification + 16 hours classroom instruction. Designed for anyone needing to obtain a pistol permit in New York.
1-on-1 instruction at $50/hour for: - New gun owners (pistol, rifle, shotgun basics) - Marksmanship improvement - Concealed carry skills and practice - Amateur competitive shooting preparation
Instructors available through Frank Hill (518-406-8844).
Free 16-hour course led by instructor Dennis Conrad—prerequisite for hunting licenses in New York.
The club hosts multiple shooting disciplines throughout the year:
