Tactical Trigger offers comprehensive firearms courses designed to meet both legal requirements and skill advancement goals:

• •NYS Pistol Permit Safety Course - A state-approved 2-day course required for obtaining an NYS Pistol Permit (post-September 2022 law changes). Instruction covers safe weapon handling, concealment techniques, self-defense law, firearm possession and transportation regulations, and the permit application process.

• •Concealed Carry & Self Defense Laws - Specialized training on legal carry regulations, firearm registration, transportation requirements, NYS-specific statutes, and justification of force laws.

• •Pistol Proficiency Training (Beginner) - Ideal for new shooters, this course covers fundamental firearm safety, shooting mechanics, equipment selection, and hands-on range practice under professional supervision.

• •Pistol Proficiency Training (Advanced) - For experienced shooters seeking to refine tactical skills including cover utilization, ambidextrous shooting, moving targets, tactical reloading, one-handed operation, and survival mindset development.

Tactical Trigger is led by Marc Smith, the owner and lead instructor with 28 years of law enforcement experience, 26 years as a certified firearms instructor, and 20 years of SWAT team leadership. This extensive background ensures all training meets professional standards and emphasizes both safety and practical application.

The range provides a welcoming atmosphere for all individuals regardless of shooting experience. Classes combine classroom instruction with live-fire range training, allowing students to immediately apply learned techniques under expert guidance.
