Hendrick Hudson Fish & Game Club

Hendrick Hudson Fish and Game Club is a prestigious private rod and gun club founded in 1925, dedicated to advancing shooting sports and wildlife conservation. Located on 100 acres in the town of Poestenkill near Averill Park, the club offers some of the finest shooting facilities in eastern New York and western New England.

The club provides comprehensive facilities for multiple shooting sports:

• •Trap Shooting - One American and one international (wobble) trap field
• •Rifle Shooting - 100-yard outdoor rifle range hosting NRA Silhouette matches, single lever action open sight Silhouette, and 3-position rifle matches
• •Pistol Shooting - State-of-the-art 8-station heated indoor pistol range and 50-yard 8-station outdoor pistol range
• •Archery - Indoor heated archery range plus outdoor 3D course
• •Sporting Clays - 13-station course (30 acres) with clay targets in various scenarios

The club hosts prestigious competitions including the Empire State Games, NYS Police Olympics, U.S. Olympic Team tryouts, and NYS Junior Olympic Tryouts. Hendrick Hudson also offers NRA training and certification courses, pistol permit classes, and hunter education programs.

Beyond shooting ranges, the club features clubhouse and lodge facilities available for meetings, corporate retreats, and private events including birthday parties and gatherings. An outdoor pavilion provides additional event space.
