Mad River Club

Mad River Club is one of New York State's oldest sportsmen's clubs, incorporated in 1894 and believed to be the second oldest in the state. With over 300 members, the club provides comprehensive outdoor recreation opportunities across more than 16,000 acres of leased and owned property.

Trap Shooting The club features a dedicated traphouse facility with voice-activated systems and professional scoring. The trap team operates seasonal shoots, typically from April through October, with both Friday and Sunday shooting schedules. The facility welcomes experienced shooters and beginners alike, with training available for those interested in machine operation.

Hunter Safety Programs Mad River Club participates in the New York Hunter and Archery Safety Program, providing certified safety education to members and the community.

Mad River Club is a members-only facility. The club is currently pausing its general wait list and only accepting applications from children and grandchildren of existing members. The membership waiting list is 6+ years long. Membership dues are annual and due by December 31st. Prospective members must submit an application with a $100 non-refundable application fee.

The club actively participates in multiple sportsmen's organizations including the Oswego County Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs, New York State Conservation Council, NRA, and other conservation-minded groups.
