Full description and what we offer
Cherry's Fine Guns started in 1929 as a general sporting goods store in Geneseo, Illinois. What transformed them into a legendary operation happened in 1961 when founder Robert E.P. Cherry arranged a custom Colt production run for his town's 125th anniversary. Those 104 Geneseo derringers—originally $27.95—kick-started the entire commemorative firearms market. Today those same guns sell for $650 each.
Robert Cherry's vision paid off. He was named #1 Firearms Retailer in America in 1969 and inducted into the National Sporting Goods Hall of Fame in 1992. After 53 years serving walk-in customers, Cherry's transitioned to mail order in 1981. The business relocated to Greensboro, North Carolina in 1989 and is now run by Kevin Cherry, the founder's grandson.

"Our philosophy is the same now as it has been for 95 years—to offer a good product at a fair price. We strive to find the best and most desirable firearms and then advertise them accurately, without over-describing their assets." – Kevin Cherry, President
