Heather is an NRA-certified handgun instructor and North Carolina certified concealed carry instructor based in Pender County (Surf City area). She holds a degree in Criminal Justice from California State Long Beach and spent years working victims' advocacy in California before opening High Caliber in 2018. She currently sits on the North Carolina Concealed Carry Instructor's Association board.

Heather focuses on removing intimidation and building real competence. She brings experience from California's strict regulatory environment and Second Amendment advocacy work, meaning she knows gun laws cold. Her teaching starts at home in a private setting—no range jitters, no strangers watching—then graduates to live fire.

She also authored Fifty States In My Sights, a book documenting her shooting journey across all 50 states with state-by-state gun law breakdowns—useful resource for travelers with firearms.
