KC's Kustom Creations isn't a big factory. It's one guy—a retired Marine—who has been building custom pistols since 1984. The owner started in the Rifle Team Equipment Repair shop at Quantico, Virginia and spent his entire 22-year USMC career there, finishing as Chief Instructor of the pistol section. That matters because it means every gun that leaves this shop has been handled by someone who knows what he's doing.
The specialty is 1911s. If you want a competition pistol, a carry gun, or something that just feels perfect in your hands, that's where the expertise is. The owner has built pistols for:
He barreled and tuned the trigger in Brian Zins' pistol for his 11th NRA Outdoor Championship, then built the trigger for Zins' 12th Championship win. That's the kind of work we're talking about.
KC's developed a proprietary roll trigger system specifically engineered for 1911s. The key innovation: a completely re-engineered hammer hook geometry with a distinctive Battle Axe hammer design. Pair that with a Chuck Warner True Radius (TR) sear that KC modifies himself, and you get a trigger that feels like nothing else.
"The trigger is the bridge between the gun and the shooter. A gun that holds X ring at 100 yards is worthless if the trigger feels like junk." — KC
This isn't marketing speak. Customers get it. Frank G. from Atlantic Highlands, NJ met KC at Camp Perry, got one of the original trigger kits, and now plans to put it on all his 1911s because the action is "incredibly smooth and very consistent."

The owner brings training from multiple manufacturers: - Smith & Wesson Academy (revolvers and autos) - H&K (P7/MP5 family) - Remington Arms (870 and M700) - Barrett Firearms (M107 and bolt guns) - Glock Certified
He's also worked on competition pistols across all major match types and has the resume to back up the work.
KC does custom work on a per-project basis. While there's a price list, the shop approach is simple: call and talk first. KC needs to understand what you're building toward—competition, carry, accuracy, feel—because every gun is different and every shooter is different.
This is a one-man operation. That's not a limitation; it's a feature. KC knows exactly what's been done to every gun, how it was done, and why. If you ever have an issue, you call KC directly and he'll make it right.
