Norris Merchandise started as a meat processing facility in 1947 when Alvin "Doc" Bridges took over Morris Packing Company and made a single-letter name change that stuck. When meat processing closed in 1973, the family reopened it in 1983 as Norris Discount Merchandise—and they've been growing ever since.
