The Outer Banks Gun Club has been the go-to range for locals and visitors since its founding, operating as a volunteer-powered facility open to the public. Located at 1521 Link Road, Manns Harbor, NC 27953, it's easy to reach whether you're a Dare County resident or stopping by during your Outer Banks trip.
Handgun Ranges - 50-yard handgun range - 17-yard short range (behind office) with steel pistol targets - Short range closes at noon on Sundays (Sept–March) for youth shooting team practice - Rifles and shotguns prohibited on the 17-yard range
Rifle Ranges - Three shooting distances: 25, 50, and 100 yards - Clearly marked lanes with paper target frames - Designated target shooting only
Skeet & Trap - Scheduled trap and skeet: Wednesdays & Sundays at 10 AM - Per-round fee covers clay targets - Manual trap field available during regular hours (bring your own targets or buy at office)

Last sign-in is 4:15 PM with cease-fire at 4:45 PM to safely clear the range before closing.
Open Tuesday–Sunday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM - Closed Mondays - Closed during inclement weather - Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day
Several certified instructors teach at the facility: - Concealed Carry Handgun (CCH) Course — Required for North Carolina concealed carry permits. Taught by Chuck Savage (Certified CCH Instructor) - Introductory handgun training - Rifle fundamentals - Safety sessions
The front office stock includes: - Eye and ear protection - Hats and t-shirts - Paper targets (variety) - Clay targets - Safety essentials
✔ Photo ID (required for non-members) ✔ Your firearms and ammunition (no rentals, no ammo sales on-site) ✔ Eye and ear protection (available for purchase) ✔ Closed-toe shoes and proper attire (range can be wet/muddy) ✔ Cased or holstered firearms ✔ Water, sunscreen, weather-appropriate gear ✔ Cash or credit card for fees

Members get year-round range access, voting rights at membership meetings, and connection to an active shooting community. Membership meetings held: - First Wednesday of February at 10 AM - First Saturday of August at 10 AM
