Full description and what we offer
Daniel Richardson founded Richardson Precision & Training in March 2021 after spending years as Head Firearms Instructor at Point Blank Range in Matthews. He's trained military, law enforcement, and civilians—over 3,000 total since he started instructing. Since opening his own shop, he's worked with 400+ students and counting.
Richardson doesn't just teach—he trains like a student himself. He's studied under Larry Vickers, Pat McNamara, Jeff Gonzales, Kyle Defoor, and Brian "Gunny" Zins. He's appeared on the Vickers Tactical YouTube channel and works directly with local police departments and armed security in North Carolina.
His courses are performance-based, meaning they move at each student's pace instead of forcing everyone through the same timeline. The curriculum adjusts based on overall class skill level, so beginners don't get overwhelmed and experienced shooters stay challenged. Programs are designed to make you more comfortable, capable, and confident—regardless of where you're starting.
Richardson created the Dirty 30 Drill—a 30-round accuracy test at 7, 10, and 15 yards. A perfect 300 score puts you in elite company. 280+ is respectable. 295+ is instructor level. It's become a benchmark for serious pistol training.

Richardson brings real-world perspective—he has 3+ years of jiu-jitsu training and a martial arts background. He's also developed curriculum for firearms academies and trained instructors throughout North and South Carolina.
If you're looking to sharpen pistol fundamentals or move from basic competence to actual defensive capability, Richardson's approach strips away fluff and focuses on what works.
