The Uwharrie Archery Challenge, hosted by Three Rivers Land Trust, runs the second weekend in March at 1235 Low Water Bridge Rd, Troy, NC. This isn't a flat range—expect 2-3 miles of uneven terrain with shots ranging from 30 to over 130 yards at realistic 3D targets.
- •Plenty of arrows (you'll need them)
- •Hiking boots
- •Your best long-distance form
If shooting both courses in one day, schedule start times at least 5 hours apart. Register for each course separately on Eventbrite.
- •When: Second weekend in March (2026: March 7-8)
- •Where: Uwharrie area, North Carolina
- •Tickets: Go on sale September 1st
The event draws archers serious about field conditions and hunting scenarios. Sponsored by local conservation partners and the Three Rivers Land Trust, it combines competition with land stewardship.
