Old 10 Defense opened to fill a gap in Southwestern North Dakota—there wasn't a high-tech shooting facility designed for both civilians and professionals. The result is a 2-lane tactical live-fire virtual reality range at 3634 Interstate 94 Business Loop E., Dickinson, ND 58601.
Exclusive 1-hour sessions for up to 4 people run $84 (as low as $21 per person). You book online, get the range to yourself, and work with an Old 10 Defense instructor who operates the system. Minors shoot free when registered and accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The core technology here is the MILO Range Advanced System—an immersive training platform built for real-world scenarios:

The system supports service handguns, tactical rifles and long guns, tasers, OC spray, less-lethal weapons, and impact weapons. You can train dry fire, recoil, or live fire.
Old 10 Defense doesn't cut corners on safety. The range is engineered to minimize lead exposure:
- •Lead collection system allows easy recycling of spent ammunition
- •HVAC system maintains constant airflow with negative pressure
- •HEPA filters remove lead, smoke, and airborne particulates
- •All air exhausted meets OSHA, NIOSH, and EPA standards
This makes it genuinely safe for repeated visits—both civilians and law enforcement/military personnel.
