Nishu Bowmen

Nishu Bowmen operates the Scheels Youth Archery Range in Bismarck with a full calendar of indoor and outdoor 3D archery competitions. Each tournament runs Friday evening through Sunday, giving archers multiple days to shoot.

• •January: Scheel's 3D Classic - Life-like 3D target dioramas with a Wood & Wheels team shoot on Saturday evening. Traditional archer team captains paired with compound shooters.

• •February: Mid-Winter Shoot - 3D targets plus Vegas and 300 Round competitions. Saturday team shoot with randomized pairings.

• •March: 2nd to Last Chance Shoot - Two courses: a long course with 25 animals at up to 40 yards and a short course with closer yardages.

• •April: The Buckle Shoot - Their signature event with handicap-based team competition. Winners take home Western-style buckles and cash prizes in three classes: Open, 16-handicap, and 10-handicap.

• •August: The Safari Shoot - Outdoor competition on walking courses with 14 African-themed 3D targets per course, plus novelty shots like clay pigeons.

Every tournament offers a Cub Course specifically for youth archers, keeping young shooters engaged in the sport alongside competitive adults.
