Ron Dodge Tactical was established to provide firearms training for civilians and law enforcement taught by instructors with decades of combined experience in both law enforcement and military operations. The team includes SWAT members, police officers, defensive tactics instructors, and former military personnel.

The curriculum covers multiple disciplines:
Pistol Training - Intro to Semi-Auto Handgun (foundational course for new owners) - Practical Defensive Handgun - Red Dot Sight Equipped Pistol - Pistol Diagnostics Modular Training (teaches self-diagnosis of shooting errors) - Cold Start 120 (tests performance without warm-up) - Pistol Optic Instructor (law enforcement only)
Rifle Training - Rifle Diagnostics Modular Training - Magnified Optic 3-Part Series - LPVO Integration - Chill Factor (winter shooting conditions)
Specialized Courses - Combat Shotgun - Dynamic Vehicle Tactics - Night Vision Training (in affiliation with Strategic Dark) - Sniper Low Light Considerations (law enforcement only) - Sniper Team Leader (law enforcement only) - Mayhem (competition drills and standards)
The team includes Ron Dodge (Owner, SWAT Sniper and Firearms Instructor), Scott Landry (Owner, NRA Certified Instructor and Lifetime Member), Eric Schubert (Ohio Peace Officers Training Academy contract instructor), Ben Lang (17-year Ohio police officer and department firearms instructor), and Darren Smykowski (SWAT Commander with 20+ years law enforcement and Marine Corps experience).
Important: Sig Sauer P320 firearms are NOT permitted in any RDT classes—zero exceptions.
