Classes - Austintown - the Training Range

The Training Range sits at 4445 Mahoning Ave, Austintown, Ohio 44515 and operates as a full-service indoor shooting facility. The space breaks down into a dedicated 6,500 sq ft range with 10 shooting lanes (5 rifle-capable) stretching to 25 yards, plus a separate 2,800 sq ft retail showroom for firearms and accessories.

Drop-Ship Option: Their drop-ship partner site (www.trainingrangedirect.com) carries $7 million+ in firearms and accessories. Firearms typically arrive in 2–3 days. Customers save the freight fee and FFl transfer fee (usually $50+ total). Other items ship to home or can be picked up at the range.

Staff includes certified Range Safety Officers (RSOs) with over 60 years combined experience in firearms. Safety enforcement is strict—the facility reserves the right to remove anyone ignoring instructions, displaying poor judgment, or violating range rules.

First-Time Visitors: - Current photo ID required - Arrive 10 minutes early for registration - Must complete yearly waiver (renewed annually) - Must watch 5-minute range safety video (one-time)

On the Range: - Eye and ear protection mandatory at all times - Max 3 people per shooting position - All firearms must remain on bench within shooting stall - Cease Fire commands are immediate—stop shooting, remove finger from trigger, point downrange - No firearms loaded on back counter (mags can be reloaded there, but guns stay on firing line) - Keep finger off trigger until on target and pointed downrange - No loading firearms outside the shooting stalls - Handgun drawing from holster prohibited without RSO approval - No balaclava or full-face masks allowed (security/cameras recording 24/7) - Dress recommendation: ball caps, no low-cut tops, proper footwear (no flip-flops)

Age Restrictions: - Under 18: Parent or legal guardian must be present; waiver required - 18-21: Can shoot and rent/purchase long guns and ammo - 21+: Can bring own handguns/ammo, rent handguns, purchase ammo

Other Policies: - No alcohol on property - No drugs/marijuana (including medical marijuana) - Individuals showing effects of intoxication prohibited from handling firearms or using range - Handgun rentals only available to those with a friend/family member present - Only ammo purchased from The Training Range may be used in rented firearms - Food/beverages prohibited in range (allowed in training rooms during breaks)
