HotShots Archery combines a structured academy with a retail shop and open range—all under one roof in Dayton. Their model is straightforward: teach fundamentals correctly, build community, and support archers at every stage of their journey.
Academy Programs: - Intro to Archery — 5-week courses (1 hour/day, 1 day/week). Equipment included. Age 8+. Great for complete beginners through people breaking bad habits. - Foundation Team — Fun-focused shooting with light coaching. Two practices per week. - FORM Team — Entry-level competition archery. Structured instruction on tournament fundamentals. - FORM Red Team — Invitation-only advanced team. Heavy focus on competition prep and tournament participation.
Shop Services: - Bow tuning and maintenance - Repairs - Arrow building - Certified bow technician diagnostics (Monday–Thursday, plus special appointments) - Compound and recurve equipment sales
Open Range Time: Monday–Thursday evenings for casual shooting. No team membership required.
HotShots operates on a "no-pressure" philosophy. Their staff won't push unnecessary services or equipment. You get expert advice tailored to what you actually need. Certified coaches focus on teaching proper fundamentals early—they believe that's how you spark a lifelong interest in archery.
