North Lawrence Fish & Game Club opened its doors in 1931 and has operated as a member-supported facility ever since. Located at 15325 Lawmont Street NW in North Lawrence, the club maintains multiple ranges and hosts competitive events year-round.
Rifle & Pistol Ranges – Open daily from 9am until dusk (except Christmas and Easter). Both ranges accommodate members and their guests.
Trap Range – Tuesday night trap practice and regular trap competitions. The club actively recruits volunteers to help run this program.
5-Stand Sporting Clays – Available on a regular basis, with reload crews and range officers needed to keep it operational.
Archery Facilities – Dedicated archery ranges plus a youth program (11am-3pm Sundays) that's free and open to members and non-members.
Air Rifle Program – Youth air rifle instruction, also free and open to the community.
Membership is required for most range access. The club offers: - Annual membership renewal (dues due by January 31st) - New member referral rebate: $50 per new member brought in - RFID card access system (cards become inactive March 1st without paid dues)
Club office hours vary seasonally. Currently open Sundays noon-2pm through January, plus 30 minutes before/after membership and retiree meetings.
The club hosts multiple match opportunities: - USPSA and Steel Challenge matches (see website calendar) - White Death Sniper Match – Long-range rifle competition - CMP affiliation – Connected to Civilian Marksmanship Program - Traders Day – Annual community event with vendor tables ($20 per table)
Beyond shooting, NLFG runs monthly retiree meetings (second Thursday, 10am with breakfast) and general membership meetings (second Thursday, 7pm). Boy Scout Klondike events are held annually.
Volunteers Needed – The club actively recruits help for trap operations, 5-stand range management, and target reloading. Contact any board member or [email protected] to get involved.
Regular raffles with prize options including Kimber .45 ACP, S&W .357 Magnum, Henry rifles, or $500 cash. Tickets $10 each. The club also sells NLFG logo hats and tumblers.
