Tom's Custom Coatings has been an official factory-trained Cerakote applicator since 2011. Located in Blanchester, Ohio (between Cincinnati and Dayton), they handle cerakote finishing on basically anything—firearms, knives, welding equipment, Yeti coolers, motorcycle parts, you name it.

Cerakote Finishing - Single and multi-color jobs on pistols, rifles, shotguns, and AR platforms - Camo patterns (Kryptek, Multicam, SnakeSkin, custom designs) - Distressed and battle-worn finishes - Two-week turnaround on standard jobs; design work 4+ weeks
Laser Engraving & Marking - Full service fiber laser engraving on metal and other materials - NFA markings, custom logos, serial number work - Laser stippling (Glocks), serrations, and tactical porting designs - Same-day to 12+ weeks depending on complexity
Custom Gunsmith Work - Slide porting and machining - RMR red dot cuts ($225+) - Front cocking serrations ($195+) - Cocking serration cuts and custom porting ($200-$300) - Barrel polishing and finishing - Full disassembly/reassembly ($45-$250 depending on firearm)
FFL Services - Federal Firearms License holder - Transfers and background checks: $25 - Ships firearms in for local pickup

Current Lead Times - Standard single/multi-color (already broken down): 1-2 weeks - Design jobs with breakdown/reassembly: 4+ weeks - Gunsmith work: 4+ weeks - Laser engraving: Same day to 12+ weeks (depends on project)
All timeframes start after receipt in the shop.
$50 minimum order on all Cerakote work. Non-stock Cerakote colors add $55. Tom's stocks most colors but can order any color from the Cerakote lineup.
They do NOT coat tolerance-critical parts (sears, springs, bores, chambers) or media-blast scopes. Custom work pricing varies—they'll contact you with a revised quote after inspecting your firearm.
Tom Leach runs this as a small family operation. He's pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Blanchester and runs the shop with Christian values. They rely on customer referrals and word-of-mouth to stay busy, so they take pride in every single project.
