Location details and information
Miami Rifle & Pistol Club has anchored the tri-state shooting community since 1916. This membership-based facility provides structured competition across every major shooting discipline—from recreational rimfire matches to precision long-range events.
MRPC schedules matches across a sprawling range complex:
Rifle Disciplines: - High Power Rifle (CMP-sanctioned across-the-course and mid-range events) - Smallbore and rimfire competitions (recreational through bench rest) - 600-yard and 500-yard benchrest shooting - Black powder and muzzle loading target matches - Varmint league competitions
Pistol & Multi-Gun: - Bullseye pistol league - Precision pistol matches - Steel Challenge and steel plate shooting - USPSA competitions - Bowling pin and Caddyshack Classic events - Cowboy Action shooting
Juniors Program: - Junior High Power Rifle - Junior Smallbore instruction
The club maintains dedicated ranges for different purposes: a 600-yard line (requires certification for practice), multi-purpose ranges, and a clubhouse. This setup lets them run everything from casual recreation to serious CMP-level matches.
500/600 Yard Shooting: Members must complete certification before shooting these distances during practice, though certification isn't required to compete in club matches that use these lines.
MRPC operates on a membership model with a waiting list system. Members access an online management portal (MMS) for league scores, match submissions, and event registration. The club also hosts members-only events like couples shoots.
What's Included: - Access to all range facilities - Ability to enter scheduled matches and leagues - Members Area with scores, photos, and videos - Community within an active competitive shooting culture
"A safe, supportive environment for firearms education and competition" — how the club describes its core mission.
