La Grande Gun Club is a trapshooting club in La Grande, Oregon, with grounds and traditions dating back to the 1920s, when the organization was known as the Wing, Fin and Fleetfoot Club.
Few trap ranges in the region are lit for night shooting, and La Grande Gun Club's is one of them, letting shooters compete after sunset; white clays are used under the lights, while orange clays are used in daylight. New concrete walkways and shooting pads at the firing line, funded by a Friends of the National Rifle Association grant, replaced originals built in 1930.
The club runs an annual winter trapshooting league that draws competitors from around the region, with a heated clubhouse where members gather between rounds. Historic photos on display inside the clubhouse date back to the 1920s.
