Full description and what we offer
Tony Veronesi started this business in his father's basement in 1996, graduated from Pennsylvania Gunsmith School in 1998, and eventually built their current facility on State Route 28 just south of New Bethlehem. What began as a single workstation has grown into a full operation with a showroom upstairs and a workshop downstairs stocked with mills, lathes, surface grinders, heat treating ovens, and every tool a gunsmith needs.
"We are the only full-time shop in the area that does real gunsmithing, beyond just mounting a scope or putting a sling on a gun. We actually build guns and we work on everything from flintlocks to machine guns." — Tony Veronesi
Fire Restoration is one of their specialties. When a house fire hits, acidic smoke and soot attack blued finishes within hours. Veronesi neutralizes the acid immediately, disassembles the firearm, and assesses damage. If caught quickly, cleaning and reassembly may be all that's needed. They also remove smoke smell from both metal and wood. Most homeowners insurance covers significantly more for fire-damaged firearms than theft claims.
Custom Finishing & Restoration includes: - Traditional bluing (polish, then dip in boiling chemical bath) - Cerakote ceramic coating (manufactured in-house ovens) - Color case hardening (vintage finish for low-carbon steel) - Laser engraving - Full metal and wood restoration
In-House Machining means they don't turn away jobs because parts are obsolete. They weld, machine, and fabricate parts on-site. Need something engraved deeper to cover pitting? They can do that too.
They're one of the few Class III dealers in the area, handling suppressors, short-barreled shotguns, and machine guns. Their inventory includes Liberty Gun Safes and a full range of firearms.
Historic Restorations: Veronesi has brought a 1914 Hotchkiss French WWI machine gun and a French Chauchat light machine gun back to firing condition. Other shops and rental ranges in the region send their difficult jobs here.
Many customers arrive with family heirlooms—a grandfather's rifle passed down through generations. These aren't just guns; they're connections to history. Veronesi treats each project with that respect, whether it's a complete restoration to 1943 condition or fire damage recovery.
