Lancaster Archery Classic

The Lancaster Archery Classic brings together archers from across the region and beyond for one of the most exciting tournament formats in the world. Held annually at Spooky Nook Sports—a massive 700,000 square-foot indoor facility in Manheim, PA (just outside Lancaster)—this event has become a destination competition for serious and recreational archers alike.

Unlike traditional bracket-style tournaments, the Lancaster Archery Classic uses a format that keeps every archer competitive from start to finish. Here's how it works:

• •Qualification Round: 60 arrows from 18 meters at a 40cm target face. Maximum possible score is 660.
• •Head-to-Head Eliminations: Winners advance through Olympic-style bracket matches (12 arrows per match).
• •Grand Finale: The top 8 finalists compete in a shoot-your-way-to-the-top format where each victory moves you up in the bracket. Every finalist has a legitimate shot at first place, regardless of seeding.

This format means even if you don't qualify as the #1 seed, you can still win the whole tournament by beating the person in front of you.

The Classic offers 20+ divisions across multiple categories:

Age-defined divisions include Masters (50+), Senior (60+), and Youth (11-17). All divisions follow NFAA/Vegas Rules & Equipment standards except Barebow (which uses World Archery rules) and Longbow (which requires wooden arrow shafts with feather fletchings).

(All registrations include a $25 non-refundable lane reservation fee)

Archers can practice before competition:

• •On-Site Practice at Spooky Nook Sports: $20 prepaid ($25 on-site) for weekend access; includes target faces
• •Wednesday 4pm-8pm (Practice Range #3 only)
• •Thursday-Saturday 6:30am-8pm
• •Sunday 6:30am-12pm

• •Free Off-Site Practice at Lancaster Archery Supply's Academy (2195-A Old Philadelphia Pike, 15 min drive)
• •Main Range access during business hours
• •Shooting Center building access 7am-midnight Thursday-Sunday

Archers must follow strict equipment specifications:

• •Arrow shafts: Maximum 2712 size (10.7mm diameter) except Barebow and Longbow (9.3mm max)
• •Longbow division: Wooden shafts with feather fletchings; hand-crafted arrows permitted
• •Stabilizers and weights: Allowed with restrictions (Bowhunter front bar max 12")
• •Anti-Doping: Open Pro and Women's Open Pro competitors subject to World Anti-Doping Code testing

Young archers get their own thrilling opportunity to compete at a world-class tournament. The Easton Youth & Collegiate Tournament runs alongside the main Classic with age-appropriate divisions and formats.

NEW for 2026: Mixed team competition allows archers to compete in a team format alongside individual divisions.

All participants must agree to the Classic Liability & Photo Release, Code of Conduct, and Format Rules upon registration. The event enforces strict rules on equipment, conduct, and sportsmanship. Any violation of the Code of Conduct may result in warnings or disqualification.
