Lancaster Archery Club has deep roots in Pennsylvania archery. Formed in 1933, LAC is one of the oldest archery clubs in the USA. The club's history includes key moments like Clayton Shenk helping establish Pennsylvania's first Fall Archery Hunting Season for deer in 1953, and past members who earned state and eastern championships.
Outdoor Facility The club operates on 20 rolling acres at 391 Eckman Road (just off Rt. 222/272S near Willow Valley). The property features: - 28-target Field/Hunter round course through mowed and wooded paths - Dedicated practice range with targets from 20 feet to 80 yards - Separate crossbow targets (20-30 yards) and broadhead targets - A bow press available for member use - Pavilion with picnic tables and ample parking - Year-round stream flowing through the property into the Conestoga River
Indoor Shooting (Winter) From January through March, members shoot Tuesday nights at Lancaster Archery Supply's indoor facility—a 5,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art center with 17 shooting lanes.
Over 100 active members ranging from under 10 years old to well into their twilight years
Members get: - Unlimited access to the outdoor course and lighted practice range during club hours - Membership ID card - Lock combination for facility access - Entry to all LAC social events and speaker events - Ability to compete in local, regional, state (PSAA), and national (NFAA, ASA, IBO) tournaments
LAC hosts regular events including the LAC Invitational (600 round), 30- and 40-target tournaments, Penn Dutch Field/Hunter League matches, and PSAA regional events. Recent highlights include Tyler Weiss shooting a perfect 600 with 51 X's and Darlene Tustin setting a state record.
