Full description and what we offer
Summit Township Sportsman's Club operates a complete range complex for rifle, pistol, trap, and archery disciplines. Located at 501 Herman Road in Butler, the club provides members with dedicated shooting areas and ongoing facility improvements.
Starting February 2026, members access the facility using an Access Card or FOB ($10 deposit). Contact Chuck Montag at 724-283-3180 to arrange card pickup or call the club at 724-285-7892.
Members can opt to receive 2027 dues notices by email instead of US Mail—saves postage and supports the club.
The club enforces strict Range Rules monitored by video surveillance. Safety lights control shooting at the rifle range, and members must communicate with other shooters and use designated backstops only. Shotguns are prohibited on the rifle range.
Safety is the club's number one priority—violations result in membership revocation and possible prosecution.
The facility includes an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) located in the men's restroom for emergency access.
Note: Mail sent to the physical address will be returned—use the mailing address or email.
Officers & Directors and bylaws available on the club website.
