Double Tap Academy isn't a business first and a passion project second—it's the opposite. Every instructor here works full-time in law enforcement, military, or corrections. They teach because they believe in it, not because it's their only job.

Josh Pereira founded the academy after growing up in firearms culture through the Young Marines program and later working civilian operations for the Pawtucket Police Department. His team includes a Marine Corps veteran (Mike Pereira), former USMC Primary Marksmanship Instructor (Chris Eaton), competitive shooters raised at gun clubs (Nancy Ellen Pereira), IDPA competitors (Cody Trostel), and a Special Forces medic with 15 years military service (Jonathan Paquin). That's not marketing—that's the actual staff.

Small class sizes with real attention. They limit students to 10 per classroom and keep student-to-instructor ratios tight. If you join a class, you're getting personal attention, not just standing in a crowd.
