Chicks with Triggers is built on a straightforward mission: equip women with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to handle their own personal safety. Founder Robin Evans is a certified firearms instructor through both the NRA and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED). She created this academy specifically because she saw women intimidated by traditional, male-dominated shooting environments.
Robin's background isn't just credentials on paper. As a woman who recognized the gap in accessible firearms training for other women, she built Chicks with Triggers to fill it. She teaches pistols, shotguns, semi-automatic weapons, and self-defense tactics. Her stated goal: help women overcome fear, build confidence, and become their own first responders.
This is the SLED-approved course you need to legally carry concealed in South Carolina. No experience required—it's built for beginners.
What's included: - Firearm rental (22LR standard; other calibers available for additional fee) - Ammunition - Targets - Range fees - Protective gear (eye/ear protection) - Live-fire instruction on shooting fundamentals, firearm safety, concealed carry law - State-mandated shooting qualification prep - Written test guidance

Designed for people brand new to shooting, or shooters looking to sharpen fundamentals and boost confidence.
For people who want to move beyond basics. Teaches proficient, accurate, and quick firearm operation.
Includes: - Draw and fire from exposed and concealed conditions - Multiple targets under time pressure - Malfunction diagnosis and clearing - Emergency and tactical reloading - Recoil management for rapid shooting - Defensive techniques and scenarios
Students leave with confidence in defensive pistol use.
One-on-one instruction with Robin. Build custom curriculum around your specific goals. Up to 3 students max per session (bring friends or family).
Unsure which firearm fits you? Test up to 15 different guns of various calibers, selected by the instructor based on your experience. This class is only available to students who've completed a previous Chicks with Triggers course.
Gather 6+ people and the host shoots free. Groups of 10+ can book private classes with no outsiders—just your crew.
Every other Tuesday, Chicks with Triggers hosts Ladies Night—a recurring event designed to destigmatize firearms training for women.

When guns fire, small amounts of lead become airborne or settle on clothes, skin, and gear. Lead exposure affects your nervous system, organs, and reproductive health over time.
Simple safety steps: - Wash hands and face after shooting - Change clothes before leaving - Don't eat or drink on the range - Wear a mask (free at CWT) - Use lead-free ammo when available
All participants are vetted before class. No walk-ins. This keeps classes safe and secure, and ensures Robin knows exactly who's scheduled.
Chicks with Triggers takes a no-nonsense approach to firearms training. Everything's included in class pricing. Instruction is hands-on and beginner-friendly. The environment is built specifically to make women feel capable, supported, and confident. Robin Evans is SLED and NRA certified, teaches women to be their own first responders, and runs one of the few ranges in South Carolina where Ladies Night is a regular, recurring event.
