Opened in 2014, the Brookings County Outdoor Adventure Center (BCOAC) gives you two separate, professional-grade facilities under one roof. This isn't a cramped range tucked into a corner—they're serious about space and quality.
The gun range features:
- •12 shooting lanes (2 handicapped accessible)
- •Automatic target retrieval system out to 25 yards
- •State-of-the-art ventilation with temperature control
- •Secure observation room for spectators
- •Onsite Range Safety Officers during all shooting hours
Gun Rental Library – Can't decide what to buy? Rent before you commit. $15 per gun, or rent 3 guns for $40. Members get 25% off rentals. You must buy ammo on-site (no exceptions).

This is an Olympic-sized facility that doubles as home base for serious archers and 4-H shooting sports programs:
- •39 shooting lanes with professional-grade targets on wheels
- •16 mobile buttresses for easy distance adjustments
- •30-yard range for sighting in and long-distance practice
- •Crossbow and compound bow friendly (field tips only)
- •EASTON Foundation Range designation
- •Year-round indoor access

Classes run $12 per adult, $7.50 per youth. Equipment rental is $5. Annual memberships include full-year range access, discounted equipment rental, and free targets.
They run scheduled classes for handgun fundamentals and concealed carry:
- •Basic Pistol / Intro to Handgun Class – Covers gun safety, pistol types, ammunition basics, shooting fundamentals, positions, posture, cleaning and maintenance. You can bring your own firearm and 50 rounds, or rent from BCOAC.
- •Enhanced Concealed Carry Course – Full CCW instruction
- •CCW Renewal Classes – Keep your permit current

Safety Note: Due to ongoing safety concerns with Sig Sauer P320 variants, the BCOAC no longer permits any P320 variant in their classes.
Need space for a team building session, birthday party, bachelor party, or corporate meeting?

- •Cost: $50/hour or $250/day
Archery tag and range time can be added to birthday parties and events.
