Full description and what we offer
DSS Firearms wasn't born as a gun shop. About six years ago, the firearms division split off from a security services company that already held federal contracts. That starting point matters: they had access to rare inventory that most dealers never see, and they understood what law enforcement actually carries.
They're not a volume gun store. If you want a basic commodity firearm—a standard AR, common Glock model, or popular hunting rifle—they'll tell you to buy online and they'll handle the local transfer for $50 (including TN background check). That's it.
Their featured firearms show the mix:
| Firearm | Caliber | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Tikka T3X Hunter SS/Walnut | .308 WIN | $1,175 |
| Colt Python SS 3" | .357 Mag | $1,499-$1,599 |
| Kel-Tec KSG Bullpup | 12ga | $719 |
| Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon | 12ga | $2,349 |
| Glock G17 G5 | 9mm | $599 |
| Glock G19 G5 MOS | 9mm | $629 |
They carry Glock models (G17, G19, G20, G21, G23, G43X variants), Colt Pythons, Sig Sauer, Walther, Smith & Wesson, Ruger 10/22 and AR-platform rifles, Henry and Browning lever actions, Kel-Tec shotguns, and tactical components from Aero Precision and Magpul.
"We've tried to price items according to current market (internet) value. In some cases, due to manufacturer/distributor pricing and market conditions, we may be off in one direction or the other. We will attempt to match the best current market price."
They're transparent about pricing strategy: they match competitive market rates and will consider making adjustments if you find a better deal.

DSS publishes these as a core resource on their site:
1. Always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction 2. Firearms should be unloaded when not actually in use 3. Don't rely on your gun's "safety" 4. Be sure of your target and what's beyond it 5. Use correct ammunition 6. If your gun fails to fire when the trigger is pulled, handle with care 7. Always wear eye and ear protection when shooting 8. Be sure the barrel is clear of obstructions before shooting 9. Don't alter or modify your gun, and have guns serviced regularly 10. Learn the mechanical and handling characteristics of the firearm you are using
TN Sales Tax & Background Checks: All in-state sales are subject to Tennessee sales tax. Direct sales require a TBI (Tennessee Bureau of Investigation) background check.
