Dallas Security Academy

Dallas Security Academy is a certified training school licensed by the State of Texas (License F01072 for training, Y05220701 for private security continuing education). They specialize in preparing security professionals and civilians for Texas Department of Public Safety certifications across all levels.

The academy's curriculum covers:

License to Carry (LTC) - 4-6 hour course covering firearms safety, proficiency, concealment, and use of force law - Live-fire qualification required - Pre-application through Texas DPS online system - Requirements: 21+ years old, no felonies, no Class A/B misdemeanors in past 5 years, legal resident - Bring your own pistol or use one of theirs at no additional charge - 50 rounds ammunition required (available for purchase)

Level II Non-Commission Security - 6-hour course, every Monday at 9am - $60 (or $300 combo with Level III) - Covers report writing, verbal commands, use of force, penal code, hazard/emergency training - Age 18+, no felonies in 20 years, no Class B convictions in past 5 years - State exam included

Level III Commissioned Security - 45 hours total (this is the extensive training) - $300 (or combo pricing available) - Firearms qualifications, less-lethal defensive tactics, OC spray/baton/handcuffing certification - Free gun rental available - Must be 21+, meet background requirements, completed Level II first - Includes state exam and three separate tactical certifications

Level IV Personal Protection Officer (PPO) - 15 hours across two consecutive days (Wednesday & Friday) - $300 (combo pricing available) - Prerequisites: Must complete Level II and Level III first - Covers comprehensive protection planning, rings of protection, force continuum, Texas Penal Code - Note: MMPI testing (required by state) handled through separate provider (Dr. Anthony Bean)

Advanced Shooter Course - Limited to 10 students per class - Covers maintenance, malfunction clearing, cleaning, accurate shooting technique - Requires: duty vest, flashlight, pepper spray/baton, Level III holster, 3 magazines, duty belt, semi-auto pistol, 100 rounds ammunition - Pre-registration required

Private Investigator Licensing - Full certification course - $225 standalone or included in combo packages
