East Texas Tactical handles the full suite of Texas LTC certification courses required to get your License to Carry permit. The classroom portion is now available online so you can log in at your own pace. In-person classes run regularly—next scheduled LTC class is February 21, 2026 at 8am. Online LTC courses run $85.
Captain Danny Walker is State-certified under Texas GC 411.188 and GC 411.190 to administer both in-class and online LTC courses. Certification #06717897.
They offer a full range of training:
- •Learn to Shoot Class - Basic handgun fundamentals, range safety, gun safety, current law, maintenance, loading, accurate shooting, cleaning, and storage
- •Personal Protection Self Defense Pistol Course - Drawing from concealed carry, barricade shooting, holster draw drills, cover & concealment (for students who've completed LTC)
- •AR-15 Basic Rifle Class - For rifle fundamentals
- •Church Safety Officer Training - Designed for church security teams responding to active shooter scenarios
- •School Safety Officer Certification - Texas DPS Guardian Program compliance. Minimum 5 students required
- •Workplace Violence Prevention Course - Covers evaluation and control of workplace violence threats
- •Private Security Guard Certifications - Level II, III, and IV online certifications to work as a Texas private security guard. OC Spray certification also available
