Austin Archery Club runs a Monthly 3D Shoot on the 2nd weekend of each month, alternating between Saturdays and Sundays. The event is open to both club members and the general public—no membership required to participate.
- •30 targets using ASA style cores
- •One shot per target (no second chances unless you buy a mulligan)
- •~2.5 hours to complete the full course
- •Outdoor facility in Central Texas
Shooters compete from different shooting stakes based on equipment and skill level:

Youth divisions (ages 13-17) and Cub divisions (ages 9-12) available for both compound and traditional.
- •Binoculars allowed for locating scoring rings
- •Rangefinders permitted (note on scorecard; shooters still eligible for prizes)
- •12-ring identified at center bullseye (not ASA top/bottom)
- •Mulligans available: $5 each, max 2 per round
- •Weather policy: Events proceed in rain unless high winds, lightning, ice, or flooding occur. Typically 1 event per year gets rescheduled due to weather.
Shotgun Start: All shooters warm up 15 minutes before, then start simultaneously when the horn sounds.
As of May 2024, Archery Country sponsors the monthly awards:
- •1st Place: $75 gift card (min. 3 shooters in category)
- •2nd Place: $50 gift card (min. 5+ shooters)
- •3rd Place: $25 gift card (min. 10+ shooters)
- •Youth and Cub shooters receive personalized medals (upon request)
The AAC Season Long Shootout (January–September) qualifies top 4 shooters in Compound and Traditional categories for a September playoff. Winners receive:
- •1 Compound Bow (Archery Country sponsored)
- •1 Traditional Bow (Archery Country sponsored)
Register and pay the event fee through the AAC Events page. All scores require a 3rd-party verification signature to count. You can shoot multiple rounds, but only one score per category per day counts toward prizes.
