Reds Indoor Range North

Red's Indoor Range opened in August 1991 and has been serving Central Texas shooters ever since. Started by Red with partner Karen (who joined the operation within a year), Red's is now the oldest continuously operating indoor range in the Austin area. That's a quarter-century of shooters sighting in rifles, practicing pistol skills, and testing guns at their Pflugerville location.

Red's North facility is built for serious shooters. You get:

• •100-yard range — the only indoor 100-yard facility within 75 miles of Austin
• •10 standing pistol lanes + 6 seated rifle lanes — designed for both pistol and rifle practice
• •Electric target carrier system — move targets 0-100 yards without waiting for ceasefire commands
• •Well-lit shooting positions with moveable targets
• •Range Safety Officers on duty at all times — they're there to help, not hassle

• •Rental Gun Selection: Over 60 firearms in stock including Glock (17, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 26, 27, 30, 34 Gen4/Gen5), Sig Sauer (P220, P226, P229, P320, P365, P938, M11-A1), Ruger (SR1911, 10/22, LC9S, American Compact, Mark IV), S&W M&P series, Springfield XD MOD 2, Mossberg shotguns (12GA, 20GA), Henry rifles, and rifles in 5.56 NATO and .308.

Rental guns require ammo purchased on-site. Staff helps new shooters pick the right gun for their needs.

Red's offers two types of training:

Texas License to Carry (LTC) Courses — $75 - Full classroom + shooting qualification + DPS written exam - Held 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month (8AM start, doors open 7:45AM) - 50-round qualification requirement (70% pass rate needed) - Instructor Tony Williams is a Marine Corps combat veteran with extensive firearms experience - Electronic optics (non-magnifying red dots) allowed for qualification

LTC Shooting Qualification Only — $50 - For those who completed classroom portion online - By appointment; text Tony at 512-800-2006

Private Lessons — $50/hour - One-on-one instruction designed for your specific needs - Covers everything from basic gun knowledge to advanced shooting - Includes training, gun rental, and range time - Paid in advance for 1-2 hour sessions

For regular shooters, Red's offers discounted membership options:

• •Individual Annual Membership: $600/year or $400 for 6 months (unlimited range time)
• •Family Membership: $825/year (unlimited range time)
• •Frequent Shooter Card: $200 for 12 range hours + 10 targets (never expires)

All memberships and cards work at both Red's North and South locations.

Monday is dedicated to female shooters. Red's sees this as essential to growing the sport:

• •Range time: $10/hour (vs. standard $20/hour)
• •Gun rentals: Completely FREE
• •Staff support: Experienced range personnel available to help beginners

Guys are welcome on Mondays, but the ladies get the deals.
