Blackwood Sporting Co. runs a full-service clay shooting facility with trap, skeet, and sporting clays fields. Each game offers different challenges and skill development paths.

• •Trap is the oldest shotgun sport in America. Shooters work through 5 positions, taking 5 targets from each for a 25-bird round. The trap can oscillate randomly or stay fixed for beginners learning the basics.

• •Skeet uses two trap houses (high and low) throwing targets at fixed angles. Eight stations make up a complete round with a mix of singles and doubles. It's tighter and faster than trap.

• •Sporting Clays recently went fully automated. Set your preferred delay on the control box and shoot at your own pace—no puller needed.
