Established in 1919, the Barre Fish and Game Club is a premier shooting and outdoor recreation facility serving Central Vermont. Located in Barre, this member-driven organization provides comprehensive rifle, pistol, and shotgun shooting ranges alongside fishing and hunting conservation efforts.

The club offers diverse shooting experiences including:

  • Rifle Range - General rifle shooting with dedicated 25-meter range with special rules
  • Skeet Shooting - Winter skeet programs (January–March) and competitive skeet league (May–July)
  • Pistol & Handgun Events - Including the "Women On Target" program
  • Specialty Shoots - Rimfire plinker competitions, egg shoots, and hunter's challenge events
  • Annual Gun Show - Central Vermont Gun Show held each February

Barre Fish and Game Club is a private membership organization affiliated with the Vermont Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs and the National Rifle Association. Membership is available to the general public upon application. Annual club memberships and rifle range permits are $40 and available for purchase at R&L Archery, Nelson Hardware, and Ammo Warehouse in the local area.

The club is managed by a Board of 50 trustees and welcomes like-minded individuals of all ages to join as members and participate in governance. The facility is located at Averill & Gun Club Roads, Barre, VT 05641.

Beyond recreational shooting, the club demonstrates strong commitment to youth development through the Green Mountain Conservation Camp (sponsoring up to 30 campers annually) and the Barre Fish and Game Scholarship Fund, which awards up to $1,500 annually to local youth pursuing wildlife conservation degrees.
