Full description and what we offer
Fairfax Firearms Repair operates out of 86 West Street in Fairfield, VT, run by a gunsmith with over three decades of experience. The owner spent 16 years as head gunsmith at Century Arms before starting this shop part-time in 2002. Since going full-time in 2010, they've repaired, restored, and built approximately 1,500 firearms.
This is a full-service gunsmithing operation. All work happens in-house. They handle anything from muzzleloaders to the most modern rifles—and they mean it. If your firearm doesn't leave satisfied, they fix it on their dime. That's not marketing language; that's their stated policy.

Fairfax builds functional revolving rifles on quality platforms:
All come with tapered round barrels (16.5"–22"), walnut stock and forearm with Schnabel tip, and gas deflectors that reduce cylinder gap side blast to manageable levels. Customers consistently report these convert into "absolute tack drivers" at 100+ yards.
Out-of-warranty Century Arms guns? This is the right place. The owner knows these rifles inside and out—he built the warranty department. Services include:
Forcing cone lengthening, dent removal, choke installation, revolver action jobs, and cylinder fitting all available. Pricing ranges $35–$175 depending on complexity.
Military & Law Enforcement Discount Available — Active duty and retired service members qualify for discounts on all work.

"These revolving rifles are absolute tack drivers. Shooting at about 120 yards standing at a ten inch steel plate, I was hitting it almost every time!" — John (customer testimonial)
