The Waterbury-Stowe Fish & Game Club has operated since 1949 on a 33-acre parcel on Route 100 in Waterbury Center. The club nearly folded until a group of sportsmen revitalized it in 1989. Today it has 400 active members and runs year-round activities.
Members have access to: - Rifle range (closed Wednesdays, archery only) - Archery facilities - Skeet shooting - Event space - Great room, kitchen, outdoor pavilion with 13 tables - Fishing pond - Lower pond stocked with brook trout

Memberships valid through calendar year. Members get a gate code card (changed annually) for facility access. PayPal purchases add $2 convenience fee.
The free Kids' Fishing Derby runs the Sunday before Memorial Day (2025: May 18). The club stocks the lower pond with hundreds of brook trout from Vermont Fish & Wildlife. Kids 12 and under compete in three age brackets. Parents handle the knots and bait; kids do the fishing. Prizes awarded by total catch length, plus categories for first fish, largest, and smallest.
Outdoor pavilion available for bookings. Includes 7 six-foot tables and 6 seven-foot picnic tables. Great room and kitchen also available.
Member-only access for daily use, but the club hosts open shooting events and public festivities throughout the year.
