Fairfax Rod & Gun Club

Fairfax Rod & Gun Club operates dedicated shooting facilities for rifle, pistol, and shotgun disciplines from their Signal Hill Road location in Manassas. The club maintains several range complexes including the Walsh Range, Benson and Mann Ranges, and shotgun fields—with new lighting installed in 2025 for extended shooting hours.

Rifle Programs: - High Power Rifle (monthly matches, prone position, vintage rifle, and spring league) - Smallbore Rifle (3-position and prone formats, NRA registered) - Air Rifle and Bench Rest (conventional and cast bullet) - Muzzle Loader Silhouette - Running Deer and Silhouette competitions

Pistol Programs: - Bullseye/Precision Pistol - IDPA (tactical/practical formats) - Air Pistol and Free Pistol - Bowling Pin Matches - NRA International Pistol

Shotgun Programs: - Registered Skeet (with Doerflein League and Sunday Afternoon Winter League) - Registered Trap (Wednesday Night League) - Shotgun clinics and instruction

Practical Shooting: - 2-Gun Action Challenge - IDPA matches

The clubhouse includes a Pro Shop stocked with ammunition and gear, plus Kelli's Kitchen (the snack bar) offering league night specials. The club hosts swap meets for members buying and selling equipment, and sells FXRGC apparel. Special event range reservations are available for organized shoots.

The club operates on seasonal hours (fall/winter hours currently in effect) and maintains an associate membership waiting list. Monthly bulletins keep members updated on schedules, legislative news, and club activities.
