Nova runs Competitive Archery Camp in June with Bob Ryder, one of the top archery coaches in the country. During his tenure as Head Coach at James Madison University, Ryder's team produced 14 World Champions, 16 National Champions, and 42 All-Americans. The 2024 camp focuses on psychological preparation, motivation, target panic, and breathing cycle—areas that separate good scores from great ones. Last year's attendees saw an average 18% improvement in scores in one week.
Camp costs $440 (June 17-21, 9 AM-3:30 PM) for ages 12 through collegiate and adult archers.
The pro shop stocks archery brands and carries ATA Certified products. They handle both retail sales and repair, so you can grab what you need or bring in equipment for service.
While archery is a core focus, Nova also runs competitive fencing classes in Epee and Saber, with tournaments, after-school programs, and summer camps led by experienced Maestros. This dual-sport facility is unusual in the area.
Dr. Ray Koury, D.C. operates a sports chiropractic practice at the club. With 25+ years of experience in sports injuries and rehabilitation, he's available Saturday, Monday, and Thursday by appointment. Services include adjustments, soft tissue work, electric stimulation, ultrasound, and extremity adjustments. Call (703) 254-9312 to book.
