Winchester Gun Club

Winchester Gun Club is the home grounds of the Virginia State Trapshooting Association, on just under 100 acres in Stephenson, Virginia. The club started in the city of Winchester in the 1930s, and in the early 1940s a group of local business leaders bought land in Stephenson and installed traps there. It now runs 14 traps, all fitted with Canterbury Automatic Voice Release, making it the largest trap shooting facility in Virginia and throwing over 500,000 targets a year. The club also runs skeet and, since 2020, a 5 Stand shooting complex.

The club holds 8 to 10 registered shoots a year and hosts the Virginia State Shoot, the Virginia Hall of Fame Shoot, the Grand Old Dominion, and the West Virginia State Shoot. Grounds include an air conditioned clubhouse with a full service kitchen, 56 camper hookups, and 24 vendor hookups.
