Full description and what we offer
Colyak Bowhunters was established in 1951 and operates as a Washington State Archery Association (WSAA) chartered club. Located in West Richland near the Tri-Cities area, the organization focuses on bowhunting, target archery, and recreational shooting while supporting broader archery interests across Washington State.
The club maintains outdoor ranges accessible year-round:
Members shoot all year. Winter months (January through March) feature weekly indoor shooting for year-round archers.
Colyak schedules three 3-D shoots annually: - February - March - November
The club typically draws around 200 shooters to each 3-D event.
Beyond competition shoots, the club holds a spring club picnic where members and families gather for outdoor meals and fun shoots. This is also when the club awards the Big Game Awards to hunters who successfully harvested big game that season, plus a Traveling Trophy for the bowhunter who harvested the most big game animals that year.
Member responsibilities include: - Helping maintain club ranges - Paying dues on time - Allocating work time on club activities - Signing up for work parties, shoots, and events - Attending meetings (with special meetings announced in advance)

From I-82, take the Richland/Pasco exit (I-182) heading east. Take Highway 240 west, then turn west on VanGiesen for about 1/4 mile. Turn south on Hall Road—the range is at the end of the road.
Range Status: As of January 2026, the Colyak range was temporarily closed due to parking lot and range damage from excess water. Check their Facebook page for updates and worker event information.
Colyak connects with the Washington Department of Fish and Game, National Field Archery Association (NFAA), Pope and Young Club, Traditional Bowhunters of Washington, and other state and national archery organizations to promote hunting seasons and outdoor archery life in Washington.
