Full description and what we offer
Tracy Wright picked up competitive shooting in 1997 with IPSC and 3-gun, but sporting clays became his focus in 2002. Early in his competitive career, he trained under legendary instructor Jon Kruger—a connection that shaped his entire approach to teaching.
Dark Horse Shooting focuses on six core elements:
1. Stance — Foundation for everything 2. Mechanics — Gun movement and eye control 3. Pre-shot routine — Building consistency 4. Vision — Letting eyes guide the gun 5. Mental game — Performing under pressure 6. Winning — Putting it all together
Tracy combines his background as an NSCA Master class shooter and NSCA certified instructor with experience as a psychiatric treatment center director. That unique mix lets him teach both the physical and psychological side of competitive shooting.
"He has a sense for breaking down the mechanics of shooting to a very understandable comprehensive level." — Jonathan F., Sandpoint, ID
Lessons are tailored to individual goals—whether you're shooting sporting clays, five stand, FITASC, skeet, or live bird. He's also a certified dog trial gunner.
