The Range Langley

The Range Langley operates two distinct shooting environments designed for different experience levels and certifications.

The main range features 16 lanes at 30 meters with high-speed electric target retrieval systems rated for .50 BMG. This is where public shooters and members alike practice with handguns, rifles, and shotguns (buck and slug only—no birdshot).

• •Key point: You don't need a Canadian Firearms License (PAL) to shoot here. Walk in as a complete beginner, and they'll handle the rest.

Access requires completing The Range Langley's Tactical Range Qualification (TRQ). Once qualified, members get 7 lanes at 25 meters with computer-controlled target systems, holstering practice, low-light shooting, and advance-to-target drills—rated for .50 BMG.

The process is straightforward:

1. Complete waiver and sign-in 2. Select your firearm and ammunition 3. Watch the safety briefing (mandatory) 4. Shoot under direct range officer supervision

• •Requirements: Minimum age 8 (with guardian), valid photo ID, and at least 2 people in your group (unless one has a PAL). Appointments by reservation only.

Rental selection spans handguns (Glock 17/19, CZ Shadow 2, Sig P226, 1911 variants), rifles (Ruger American .223, M1 Garand, SKS), and shotguns (870 Tactical, Canuck Operator).
