Full description and what we offer
Stonemeadow Ranch operates 1,200 acres of hunting terrain in the southern Black Hills of South Dakota, about 19 miles from Custer. The property features rolling hills covered in Ponderosa pine and scrub cedar, open meadows, box canyons, and deep draws—plenty of natural cover for the elk, buffalo, whitetail, and mule deer that live there.
Because the ranch is privately owned, no hunting license is required. All hunts are done on foot in a spot-and-stalk style (vehicle arrangements available with advance notice). Hunters of any age or fitness level can participate.
Trophy bull elk hunts are priced by SCI score:

You'll see bulls ranging from 280 to 500+ SCI scoring. The 3-day, 4-night hunts include lodging, three meals daily, and a professional guide. Guide ratio is typically 1-on-1 or 2 hunters per guide. The ranch handles up to 3 hunters in a party, and won't book extra hunters without your permission—you won't hunt with strangers.
Buffalo hunts score high enough to make SCI record books. Prime season is December through January when coats are densest, though hunts run year-round. Winter temperatures range 30-40°F but can drop below zero.

Meat processing fees, taxidermy, and staff gratuities are the hunter's responsibility. No hidden trophy fees.
