Full description and what we offer
Bloomer Rod & Gun traces back to post-World War I, when a handful of shooters started meeting just outside town. Fast forward to today: the club operates on a 40-acre property west of Bloomer with a membership base of around 650 families.
Buy memberships at the Bloomer Fair, Bloomer Hardware (1813 17th Avenue), monthly meetings (2nd Tuesday), or any club event.
Access to the clubhouse requires a board member present due to liability—they schedule this for events and activities.
The club runs comprehensive safety training throughout the year:
| Class | Typical Timing |
|---|---|
| Hunter Safety | April & August |
| Boater Safety | May |
| ATV/4-Wheeler Safety | June or July |
| Snowmobile Safety | December |
| Trapping Safety | August |
Contact the Safety Coordinator at [email protected] for details.
Members contribute to real conservation work: fish stocking, northern pike population control, fish cribs, dock maintenance, and lake association projects. The club also sponsors youth programs—4-H Shooting Sports, archery in school programs across three districts, and an annual high school scholarship.
Monthly meetings (2nd Tuesday, 7pm) are open to members and a solid way to stay informed about upcoming events and get involved in club operations.
